Registration – 2019 CMS Winter Meeting

Please note, all meeting attendees (e.g. participants, session organizers and speakers, CMS members, and students) are required to pay the appropriate registration fee and wear their meeting ID badge. Non-registered attendees will be required to pay the appropriate onsite registration fee.

The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) strives to keep registration fees as low as possible. However, there are significant operational costs to stage each semi-annual meeting which are subsidized through grants and other CMS sources.

Registration fees are given in Canadian dollars. Registrants outside Canada will pay the corresponding fee in US$(calculated at a conversion factor of 1 CDN $1.00 = US$0.81). Payment may be made by cash, cheque (Canadian or US dollars), or by VISA or MasterCard. To qualify for the reduced rate, payment must be received by November 15; for the registration to be processed before the meeting, payment must be received by November 15. Receipts will be sent out by email upon registration.

NEW: This year CMS has changed their policy so you are now required to register for the meeting before you can submit an abstract. The online abstract submission system enables this feature through a cross-verification with the meeting registration database.

Refund Policy
Participants wishing to cancel their registration must notify the CMS (meetings@cms.math.ca) in writing by November 20 to receive a refund less a $50 processing fee. Those whose contributed paper has not been accepted will upon request be fully refunded.

Canadian Mathematical Society Mini Courses

The CMS is organizing three-hour mini-courses to add more value to meetings and make them attractive for students and researchers to attend.

The mini-courses will be held on Friday afternoon, December 6th, before the public lecture, and include topics suitable for graduate students, postdocs and other interested parties.
